The relationship between generator speed and frequency

First look at the relationship between motor speed and frequency

The formula of motor speed and i frequency

n=60f/p

In the above formula

n——The speed of the motor (rev/min);

60——every minute (seconds);

f——power frequency (Hertz);

p——The number of pole pairs of the rotating magnetic field of the motor.

China stipulates that the standard power frequency is f=50 cycles/second, so the speed of the rotating magnetic field is only related to the number of magnetic pole pairs. There are many pairs of magnetic poles, and the speed of the rotating magnetic field is low.

When the number of pole pairs P=1, the speed of the rotating magnetic field is n=3000;

When the number of pole pairs P=2, the speed of the rotating magnetic field is n=1500;

When the number of pole pairs P=3, the speed of the rotating magnetic field is n=1000;

When the number of pole pairs P=4, the speed of the rotating magnetic field is n=750;

When the number of pole pairs P=5, the speed of the rotating magnetic field is n=600

(In fact, due to the slip rate, the actual speed of the motor is slightly lower than that of the rotating magnetic field)

In the frequency conversion speed regulation system, according to the formula n=60f/p, we can know:

Change the frequency f to change the speed

Decrease the frequency f, the speed becomes smaller: 60 f / p = n

Increase the frequency f, and the speed will increase: That is, 60 f / p = n

It can be seen from the above that reducing the frequency can reduce the speed, and increasing the frequency can increase the speed. If it exceeds the design requirements, it will have a great impact or damage to the life of the motor. Please refer to the motor manual to see if there are such design requirements.
