Compared with the steam turbine generator set, the diesel generator set has the following characteristics:

②The thermal efficiency of diesel engine power generation is high, and the fuel consumption per unit output does not change much at partial load or light load.

③ The starting, loading and stopping time of the diesel generator set are short, it can be started at any time, and it is more suitable for emergency power supply.

④The operation and maintenance of diesel generator set is simpler and more convenient than that of steam turbine generator set.
