1. The initial electromotive force is provided in different ways

Permanent magnet generators rely on magnets to provide initial electromotive force. When the excitation generator starts, there must be an initial electromotive force to allow the excitation coil to generate a magnetic field. At the beginning, there must be another power supply or a permanent magnet to allow the small electromotive force of the generator to provide the electromotive force, and only after normal operation can it work by itself to output voltage.

 

2. The permanent magnet generator has simple structure, large rotor magnetic field, no excitation winding, no carbon brush, no slip ring, large air gap, no contact, high product reliability, no external regulator, reduced magnetic flux leakage, and sufficient output circuit ;

Excitation generator: The idling power generation performance is poor, the battery is easy to discharge, the efficiency is low, the temperature of the whole machine rises, and the carbon brushes and slip rings are prone to damage.

 

3, the magnetic field strength is different

The excitation generator can change the current of the excitation coil to change the excitation magnetic field. The permanent magnet generator set is more prone to the phenomenon of magnetic field inclusion.
